Courses and workshops in the field of Digital Forensics

Would you like to experience if the Master Digital Forensics suits you? Or are you interested in a specific module? It is now possible to follow separate modules of the Master Digital Forensics! We currently offer the following modules:

We provide the option to obtain microcredentials in one or multiple module(s) part of the Master Digital Forensics. Microcredentials focus on specific skills and knowledge and provide a targeted way to acquire new competencies or enhance existing ones in a flexible and time efficient way. The modules of the Master Digital Forensics are geared towards professionals with a bachelor's or master's degree working in the digital forensic field looking to widen their knowledge and developing their technical skills in specific areas.

The general admission requirements for the modules are (*please check the module pages for the exact admission requirements):

  • Bachelor's degree ICT, Computer Science or Digital Forensics
  • Relevant work experience in the Digital Forensics field
  • Good command of the English language (minimum B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
  • Resume check to review if you meet the entry-level requirements of the module (if needed to determine this, you will be invited for an introductory interview)

In today’s rapidly changing digital world it is important to keep your knowledge and skills up to date. There is a growing demand for forensic ICT specialists who can act quickly and effectively in digital forensic investigations. Leiden University of Applied Sciences is the frontrunner in education dedicated to the digital forensic field with the full-time & part-time bachelor programs Forensic ICT (both Dutch programs) and the part-time Master Digital Forensics (English program). These programs are executed in close collaboration with the Lectorate Digital Forensics & E-Discovery

Practical information

  • 5 ECTS per module - combination of self-study, on-campus lectures & practical assignments.
  • Option to follow lectures online with exception of several mandatory on-campus meetings.
  • On-campus day for study year 2024-2025: Monday
  • Level: Master
  • Duration: 20 weeks per module
  • Start: September 2024 or February 2025
  • Upon successful completion, you will receive a microcredential
  • ! Courses are only confirmed when there is sufficient participation.

*Please note not all modules of the Master Digital Forensics will be offered as microcredential therefore, it is not possible to complete the entire Master’s program via microcredentials.
