Data visualization and Analysis with R

During this course, you will learn, among other things:

• Working with R in RStudio;
• Importing data using CSV/TXT files;
• Knowledge of different data structures in R;
• Applying simple statistical analyses in R (t-test, Wilcoxon, Shapiro, ANOVA);
• Working with various packages, including tidyverse and ggplot2;
• Knowledge of the "Grammar of Graphics" in ggplot2;
• Adjusting settings in ggplot2 to create the right figures and graphs.

• 15:20 – 16:00: Visualization with ggplot2: creating graphs
• 16:00 – 16:30: Wrap-up

• 11:10 – 12:15: Introduction to statistics and analyses in R

This 2-day course is provided by our instructors Jeroen Pijpe and Saskia Stahlecker.

• Jeroen Pijpe has been a lecturer at the Bioinformatics program at Leiden University of Applied Sciences for 9 years, where he designs and teaches lessons on genetics, statistics, and genomics, among other topics. He was trained as a researcher in evolutionary genetics.
• Saskia Stahlecker-Vosslamber has been a lecturer in the Bioinformatics program for 7 years. Her focus is on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis and transcriptome analysis. Before this, she worked for 10 years as a researcher specializing in advanced data analysis, transcriptome analysis, and autoimmunity.
