Urban allergenic pollen correlated with local public green spaces

Climate change and urban heat are increasing the importance of healthy urban green spaces. This study found that public green spaces are the main source of allergenic pollen in cities, with grasses dominating in summer and trees contributing most during the rest of the year. The results highlight the need to carefully select low-allergen plants when designing urban green spaces.
