Overall objective:
Participants will acquire the theory, skills and tools to develop and implement effective training programs in developing countries.
Brief specification:
This subject teaches the participants how to design, prepare, implement and evaluate participatory training programs. The sessions are designed according to the phases of the adult learning cycle. In this way participants experience, process, generalize and apply the different topics of the subject.
General subject matter:
Teaching method:
Formal lectures, practicals, group assignments and literature study.
Examination:
By means of a group assignment, for which the students design and deliver (part) of a participatory training program. At the end of the workshop participants receive a certificate of Leiden University of Applied Sciences.

from 10.30 - 17.15 hrs.
NB: the preparation of assignments requires some additional 10 hours per week.

Course fee:
The course fee amounts to &euro 825,- including course materials, excluding catering. Leiden University of Applied Sciences is not liable to pay VAT for the provision of education, subject to changes in the law.
